The first quarter of 2021 has been an interesting period for dining and restaurant applications in the United Kingdom on the Android platform. Sensor Tower provides us with a glimpse into the performance of the top contenders in this category.

McDonald’s UK showed a fluctuating trend in downloads starting from 40K in late December, dipping to around 29K in the first week of January, and peaking at 60K mid-February. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 400K mark, with a slight peak of 405K in mid-March.

KFC App UKI - Mobile Ordering experienced its highest downloads in the first week of January at 30K, followed by a general downward trend, stabilizing at around 17K towards the end of March. Active users peaked at 157K in early January and showed a gradual decrease, ending with 137K active users by the end of March.

Subway® - Official App saw an increase in downloads from 8K at the end of December to a peak of 20K in early February, followed by a decline to 9K by the end of March. Weekly active users had a high point of 47K in early February, with a slight decline to around 39K by the end of March.

Domino's Pizza Delivery downloads were relatively consistent, with around 13K to 15K downloads weekly, with a slight increase to 13K in the last week of March. Active users showed a more pronounced increase from 93K at the end of December to nearly 99K in mid-March, before a slight dip to 94K by the end of the quarter.

Costa Coffee Club downloads peaked at 16K in mid-January and again at the end of March, with a low of 10K in early March. The app's active users saw a high of 131K in mid-January, with a general decline to 119K by the end of March.
